Para Mi | Responsible

Made to Last

Our Approach to Sustainability

At Para Mi, we work closely with our trusted suppliers in Turkey, building on long-standing relationships. We aim to reduce our environmental impact through responsible production, more sustainable materials and improved packaging.

Throughout the production process, we aim to minimise the use of chemicals wherever possible.

Our denim laundries also recycle around 75% of the water used in the washing process.

We work with suppliers who prioritise employee safety and responsible working conditions. Our Code of Conduct sets out important principles, including non-discrimination, no child labour, fair wages and a safe working environment.

Materials & Certifications

Our fabric suppliers offer materials with recognised certifications and sustainability standards, helping us make more responsible choices.

  • OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 tests textiles for harmful substances, helping ensure that materials meet strict safety requirements.
  • GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) sets requirements for textiles made from certified organic fibres, including environmental and social criteria throughout the processing chain.
  • GRS (Global Recycled Standard) verifies recycled content and sets requirements for traceability, chemical use, environmental practices and working conditions.
  • BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) supports cotton farmers in adopting more responsible farming practices, with a focus on environmental protection, efficient water use, soil health and better livelihoods for farming communities.

These standards address different aspects of responsible production. We continue to explore more sustainable materials and ways to reduce our environmental impact.

Packaging & Daily Operations

We aim to reduce waste through recycled packaging, less cardboard and FSC-certified cardboard materials. Within our own operations, we focus on recycling waste and reducing paper and energy use.

Made to Last

Ultimately, we believe the most sustainable choice is to make trousers that last. By focusing on quality, fit and durability, we create trousers that can be worn season after season. Making products that last longer is one of the best ways to reduce our impact on the environment.
